MANNA Ministries, Kampala, Uganda & Refugees

Manna is a hand up ministry. 250 families are selected from communities in the slums of Kampala or among the refugees that are scattered throughout Northern Uganda, who are somehow outside the official UN Refugee Camps. The families are supplied 94 lbs of food monthly for six months on one condition: Take classes to learn how to save the money that would have spent on food in order to invest it in some sort of business that will bring in revenue for your family. We teach how to start businesses; we offer advice, counsel. and point people in directions that suit their circumstances. This program is wildly successful. Lives are changed, often lives are prolonged, children can go to school, and many find forgiveness of their sins from Jesus Christ and follow in believers baptism.

prison ministries

Those (both men and women) who find themselves incarcerated in the prison system of Uganda often receive certain items that make life behind bars just a little bit nicer. Often we freely give basic toiletries. Other times we supply new beds, like the picture above, or put in septic systems and bathrooms when the need arises. The IMFC even sponsors a prison netball team, but most importantly. A message that changes hearts is shared, and men and women are discipled in such a way that their actions and decisions reflect the Jesus Christ that now lives in their hearts. People’s lives are completely changed. What was once a heart filled with anger and malice, now becomes soft and gentle. When the iron door is opened and they walk freely again whole families are changed. Communities change, and the world is a better, safer place.

bible way discipleship

The IMFC uses a discipleship course called BIBLE WAY to teach people a new way of thinking, doing, and reacting. The course literally changes everything for many, many people. Through this discipleship course a movement of God has spread throughout Uganda, Kenya and has crossed borders into neighboring Tanzania, Congo and recently Barundi. It’s even moved into South Africa.

House church

When souls are lonely and spiritually hungry, they need community and nurture for their weary souls. House churches provide this. Why they house church? Well, it can be replicated anywhere there are people. It does not need massive amounts of revenue for its upkeep - actually it needs nothing but people.
