Prisons
Bringing true freedom behind bars — by making disciples and meeting real needs in Uganda’s prisons.
What IMFC does:
Works with both prisoners and guards to train disciple makers for Jesus, offering hope that lasts beyond prison walls
Partners with Uganda’s prison system so that many prison guard trainees complete the IMFC discipleship course before graduating and serving across the country’s 212 prisons.
Supports prison staff and inmates in practical ways:
Sponsors netball teams for guards
Provides beds, septic systems, soap, and feminine products for prisoners
Adapting through challenges:
During COVID, IMFC staff could no longer enter prisons directly.
But because thousands of prisoners and hundreds of prison employees had already come to Christ through IMFC’s ministry, the Gospel kept spreading inside the prisons.
IMFC continued to help by supplying books, meeting essential needs, and funding prison projects whenever possible.
